Sewerage flood clean-up at factory

When a home of business experiences a flood Rainbow’s priority is to return the property back to pre-incident condition as quickly as possible, minimising secondary damage, efficiently and effectively with minimum disruption to the customer.

A flood clean-up operation is made all the more vital when sewerage is involved; which is exactly what David Hawkins of Rainbow International Wakefield experienced when he attended a business property recently. The factory floor had become contaminated with raw sewerage when a drain within the grounds of the factory had backed up, causing the factory floor to flood.

The first course of action on any flood clean-up job is to extract all standing water – once the standing sewerage water was extracted from the factory floor, the area needed jet washing to remove all of the sewerage residue from the floors. After this process was completed David cleaned the floors with a scrubber and lastly santisied the area to remove all bacteria from the affected areas.

A lot of the machinery from the factory floor was moved, cleaned and sanitised to ensure this was returned to preincident condition.

Water damage and flood damage, including that of flood water containing sewerage, can have consequences to the structure and integrity of your property, if the water damage and flood damage clean-up operation is not handled by experts in damage management.

The customer was extremely happy with the clean-up operation David undertook and commented “I’d just like to congratulate you on a job well done, thank you!”.
